After a year, i was able to watch TFC (The Filipino Channel), that was yesterday when i sleptover at a frend's house.
Grabeh, everything was new to me.. starting from the celebrities to the shows.. en i must say it was not rily good. not to mention, victim extreme (carlos agassi?? how cum ur stil on air? grr).. hehe.. en the sop opera (Marina) oh my god! the cinematography is so poor as if im watching "wansapanatym".. The new teen actor en actresses are quite baduy like (sandara ba yun?).. MTB is another one.. its so corny.. Lucky M., just lyk his father Edu.. they were such a mess! ang korny nila sobra! i dont know i just dnt enjoy at ol.. no offense meant to those pipol who look for these shows en idolize these celebs.. i dunno.. i just dont like them at all! But in fairness, i fnd (drew) of wazzup wazzup.. a cutie.. (can sumbody gve me info bout him??) lol!.. wel at least one for te record! ------------------ not a film critic nor a newspaper editor, just making some commentary.. You just don't like them... For the record beybigee, that network has been having troubles with their rating and they needed to reformat their sitcoms, variety shows. Give them the credit of hard work...Filipinos sometimes prefer kakornihan kahit nga ikaw pag inlove ka pag nilalambing ka ng love mo no matter how CORNY eh masaya ka di ba. Some people like the shows at ABS-CBN some don't...
why? could you tell me the difference of shows there in your planet?
Drew is a commercial model siya si "Pare" :-D

Not only that their shows are corny, they are taken from somebody else's idea. And I simply mean that they lack originality. Like "Victim" hosted by Carlos Agassi...isn't that just like Ashton Kutcher's "Punk'd"? It's just so irritating that they can't come up with their own ideas...their work is just the exact replica of somebody else's work...and that's really sad. :-x
Well, wala tayong magagawa dyan. Bago sila nagdecide what to program to put on air, pinag-isipan nila yan kung ano ang kakagat sa corning madlang pinoy. The more corny we think ang isang character dyan, the more tayong nanggagalaiti sa kakornihan, the more they get into our minds, and yan ang isang way para mabenta. Sold-out sila in our country, pinag-uusapan, kahit nga tayo pinag-uusapan natin sila.

it's not so much about where you are or what country you represent but...don't we have pride? i mean, yes, i am a filipino and i'm proud to be! we are who we are...if people choose to be imitators, then so be it...but just think about this for a sec...if we're so proud of who we are...then why try to be somebody else? it doesn't make any sense...alam ko na pinoy ako pero i don't wanna be stereotyped as someone who can't be his/her own person, diba? i don't mean to offend anybody but i'm just trying to make a point. i just believe that we're so much smarter than how we present ourselves as...it's just a matter of realizing who we are and giving people the entertainment/idea that they would surely enjoy as opposed to what we've all been doing, which is criticizing our own ideas...sad, isn't it?
