BEING BINAY
Television and radio newscasts, broadsheets, and tabloids and their online editions all carried the same banner story today: the suspension of Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay. That’s what happens when a president of a republic declares a war against the president of another republic.
Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay was placed on a 60-day preventive suspension. Malacañang has 60 days to formally introduce Lito Lapid to the residents of Makati. Malacañang insisted that there’s no politics involved in the suspension of Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay. They just want him to take a vacation. He’s been working at the city hall for 20 years. In a camouflage jacket, Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay defiantly stated, “The Arroyo administration might as well just kill me.” But of course. Billions of pesos in city revenues is definitely worth dying for. Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay described the suspension as "highly irregular." Acting on Binay’s complaint, Malacañang vowed to make suspensions regular. Two down, more to go. DILG Undersecretary Wencelito Andanar - a Muslim - said Allah was with him when he served the suspension order against Binay. What he failed to tell the media was Allah was kicking his butt while they’re on their way to the city hall. Senior citizens were among the first group of Binay supporters who barricaded the Makati City hall to prevent DILG officials from serving the suspension notice. It’s their own simple way of thanking the mayor for letting them watch all the movies they want at the Powerplant and Greenbelt cinemas absolutely free of charge. Former president Corazon Aquino rushed to the Makati City hall to support the embattled mayor. As expected, Cory vowed to pray for Binay. She prayed for GMA’s resignation. She prayed for GMA's impeachment. She prayed for justice. She prayed for unity. She prayed for reconciliation. People have been wondering whom Mrs. Aquino has been praying to. It’s just doesn’t work! After the suspension of Mayor Binay, San Juan Mayor JV Ejercito quickly told the media that he thinks he’s next. What he’s actually trying to say is, he wants to be next. He couldn’t just allow Binay to get all the attention and the media mileage. Dozens of anti-Binay residents of Makati City also showed up at the City Hall quadrangle last night. They didn't wanna miss the free concert. Die-hard Binay supporters reported seeing some 1,200 unfamiliar, odd-looking, and ashen individuals at the city hall quadrangle in the morning but mysteriously disappeared as soon as darkness fell. Later, a witness claimed that he talked to the leader of the unidentified people and that the leader made a startling confession. They were the "ghost employees." Awoooo! ABS-CBN’’s horror show Nginig will tape an episode at the Makati City hall. They, too, want to check if there are indeed "ghost employees." Top 5 Things the Government Should (At Least Try To) Do to Make Mayor Jejomar Binay Vacate the City Hall 5: Offer him a lifetime supply of Block & White products. 4: Cut the city hall’s supply of water and electricity. 3: Grant autonomy to the city of Makati (a la Vatican) but only after an election is held. 2: Tell him and his supporters that the 1,000 "ghost employees" being referred to in the administrative complaint were real ghosts and that they are in the city hall right now. 1: Make a deal. If he leaves the city hall, President Arroyo will resign. And when he does, flip-flop. After all, flip-flopping, according to Labor Secretary Brion is "democractic." Seriously Speaking... Other local government officials should learn a thing or two from Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay. Go ahead, pillage your local government’s coffers. But hey, do not forget to share the loot to the public. That’s what Binay and his men do in Makati and they do it so well. That’s the reason why they are well-loved by their constituents. It’s a rotten system, yes. But in a country ruled by the corrupt and the moneyed elite, mas mabuti na’ng meron kesa sa wala. ____ for previous posts, pls visit: www.professionalheckler.blog-city.com Share this post (facebook, email, twitter, etc) at pagpapalain ka ng husto.

ndi na ko updated sa balita ah.. nagulat na lang ako nung napanood ko to sa news kagabi..oo nga, what's the real reason why he's suspended? ![]()
FROM THE ONLINE EDITION OF NEWSBREAK MAGAZINE:
"REASONABLE GROUNDS But the grounds against the three opposition mayors in Metro Manila seem reasonable. The NAPOLCOM removed police control from Eusebio in Pasig after national cops found an entire street where illegal drugs were openly peddled and pot sessions were conducted. It had been going on for three years, 100 meters away from City Hall, and the mayor took no action. After the raid that wasn’t coordinated with his office, Eusebio dismantled the shabu shanties that the national police was preserving as evidence in the court case. The Pasay officials headed by Trinidad extended several times the garbage collection contracts of five companies without public bidding, and sometimes without supporting resolution from the city council. The contracts involved a total of P464 million. Binay, his wife Elenita, and his councilors have been charged before the Sandiganbayan for awarding several contracts to office fixture suppliers that they apparently knew belonged to the same persons, allowing the monopoly of contracts; and for overpricing the said furniture pieces meant for the newly built city hall from 1999 to 2001. The alleged anomalies involve a combined amount of P232 million and the overpricing to P53 million. The contracts were awarded during the term of Elenita, and they were honored during Binay’s time. The complaint, filed by Binay’s nemesis Roberto Brillante (who had run for mayor but lost), was based on reports by the Commission on Audit. Meanwhile, the administrative complaint, filed also by Brillante, involves Binay’s alleged retention of ghost employees who received P113 million in salaries from the city government."
sana katapusan na yan ng Binay Dynasty.

I FORGOT TO ADD:
Parañaque Rep. Roilo Golez compared Mayor Jejomar Binay to Nobel laureate Nelson Mandela. South Africa is filing a diplomatic protest. That was an insult to their former president. Cong. Roilo Golez compared the embattled Makati City mayor to former South African President Nelson Mandela. They're both melanin-gifted. www.professionalheckler.blog-city.com ![]()
the 2nd post i've read from you just today. wat i kol, wit and irony combined... enweiz, our country's history of corruption is really going for the record. A hopeless case. I too, is a government employee and could attest to this kind of corrupt set-up - GHOST WORKERS...(freaky) it's hard to call for a change when you're surrounded by shrieking loud voices...how would you expect to be heard? sigh.

P113 million should really be looked upon by this government. Sayang naman yung mga taxes ng mga tao kung basta- basta lang nawawala yung milyon milyon di ba?
If Binay would just be really man enough (not just wearing camouflage, I guess), then he should properly face the charges against him. He even can't leave his office eh.
all these crap about ghost employees ,contract monopolizing and overpricing and drug dealing does not only happen in makati.this is a nationwide corruption spree.
why zero in on the opposition?mindboggling, huh? geez...if gma has some teeny weenie bit of dignity running through her veins, she'd relinquish her post.at least, she'd still have what is left of it. rather fail with honor than succeed by fraud. socrates

hey, i am not a GMA fan but i think saying that the government picks on LGU officials allied with the opposition is a hasty generalization. Weeks back, the mayor of sta. rosa, laguna who is a gma die-hard was suspended. There was tension in the municipal office but the vice mayor successfully installed herself as acting mayor. And then there's the samar governor(or vice gov?) - another gma supporter - who was suspended due to graft charges just recently. wag ding kalimutan, si recom echeverri ng caloocan (another administration official) na next in line sa listahan ng DILG.

My question is if what they claim is true that there's a "ghost employee" in makati city hall why don't they (like Binay say) show their proof of list of the so called "ghost employees"?

Remember DILG issued the suspension against Binay without any sufficient evidence to prove their claim of the ghost employees, what's up with that?
Dun lang nagbigay ng list of so called "ghost employees" and proof of evidence after he was suspended? Ano yan bumaba ka muna bago ka namin bi2gyan ng kaso? Law doesn't work that way my friend kaya nga inapprove ang TRO ni Binay ng Court of Appeal dahil kulang sa ebidensya ang DILG. If they want to oust the President of the Opposition/Mayor of Makati City Jejomar Binay they need to find some some strong evidence/case against him and execute their plans carefuly without any snags to make sure his downfall. They even threaten him if he won't shut up they will release his old cases against him from the Ombudsman that will sure ruin his reputation . I mean ano yan harap-harapan na ngang gumawa ng walang kwentang kaso tapos ngayon takotan na2man ang second option nila? Sheesshhh only in the Philippines

I took your word and read the dictionary
BLACKMAIL-- exert pressure on someone through THREATS Remember I wrote that if Binay doesn't keep his mouth shut they will release his old cases from the Ombudsman. Can't you understand that? you poor thing let me tell you, they called that BLACKMAIL. An information or any means that could ruin your reputation not to mention your life, oh you need more example? Lets put it these way you're a cabinet member throughout your political career you didn't involve yourself in scandals, racketeering, sexual endeavour, money laundering schemes, extortion mmm more on showing the public that you're clean and that they really made the right choice by putting you in that position. But, behind all of that sainthood image there is something you do that the public doesn't know, behind the appearance you show in public you're a big pervert and your main target are children "pedophile". With that information in my hand dude you will do anything as long as I won't leak that information to the media not to mention to your wife and the rest of your family. A respected cabinet member with no criminal records no stain on his name a big perv that could really ruin your life. Your political career going down the drain, not to mention it could also land you in jail for the rest of your life unless you'll provide me with the things I want and need for me to keep that information in public now that's BLACKMAIL.....In regards to what I wrote like I said: Those are FACTS and i'm not making things up so you know but I guess you really don't understand that so So after citing which government we are talking about whats your point. What plan is gonna be ruined....OH NO! THE GOVERNMENT IS GONNA CONQUER THE WORLD!!!! Praning! PRANING haayy using that word men is such a cliche' what else do you have in your sleeves? Natawa ako sa sinabi mong OH NO! THE GOVERNMENT IS GONNA CONQUER THE WORLD!!!! You should do stand up comedy I think your good at it Eniwe you should open your eyes and know what's going on around you, well GMA's Administration can't conquer the world you know heck! they couldn't even take down one Mayor in Makati let along the world hahaha. You should read more before you para me maisagot kang tama but still E is for Effort.Do you have proof like or is accusations Again my advise read more before you speak or say in tristan word "salitype", because in this position you're just mocking yourself or should I say ashame yourself, your a joke. DO I HAVE PROOF? Of course I do remember [wait di mo pala alam] The People's Initiative that they asked thousands of people to sign a petition to change the constitution well my friend I have to tell you that Mayor Binay is the one who blew their plans you know why? How can a dead person sign that petition when he's lying down six feet under? OH NO!!! ME MOMO!!! hehehe [just kidding] The list shows that a residence of Makati City signed the petition paper three years after his death I mean wow how can they do that? According to a scientific analysis they created some sort of a worm whole in space and travel back to time for that person to sign the petition or a Jamaican analysis shows that he was brought back to life by a voodoo priest just to sign that petition hahahaha. As the list goes on more dead people where brought back to life through their signature. Now that's what I call out of this world patriots despite their rotten corpses still raise from their grave to sign the petition by the way its ...it remains to be seen... not seem I think I don't need to elaborate myself in here anymore, it seems that you don't know what you stand for di mo nga alam anong nangyari at pangya2ri sa kapaligiran mo. You poor thing you need to open your mind and see what's goind on around you para malaman mo ang 22o. Corruption is the reason why DILG indicted Mayor Binay and suspend him with an insuffecient evidence? tsk tsk tsk there's a conspiracy going on in here, the said corruption that they allegedly did last 1999-2001 and that so called "ghost employees" ba't ngayon lang nila nilabas ito? Remember Binay serves as mayor of makati for the last 2 decades since appointed OIC-Mayor of Makati by then Presiden Corazon Aquino. Why now? kung matagal na yang ginagawa niya? Like I said if they think that he's corrupt then show some proof and indict him with graft and corruption and prosecute him yun lang naman eh. Evidence that point that he swindle those money and paid those unknown employees in his administration para matapos na, pero hindi mata2pos yan kasi all we know is nagha2nap pa yan ng butas o evidence kuno. Confucius once said "Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" Have a nice day!!!

Taga Makati ako dati ano... 13 years ako dun nakatira! hmp....
Binay has been serving for 20 years we should respect that, MAKATI people loved him, and if arroyo really sincere for her fight against corruption, she must remove her allies first like MAYOR ATIENZA who also had a graft complaint.
Whether or not the suspension order has sufficient basis, Binay should have followed it since it was a lawful order, and in the meantime the proceedings in his application for a TRO can still continue.
But as it happened, lalong nagmukhang crybabies ang oposisyon. I don't see administration mayors making half as much noise as Binay did. The purpose of the suspension order was to prevent tampering of evidence (e.g. documents in the city hall in regard to the alleged ghost employees). The fact that Binay would not leave his office and on the contrary barricaded himself in with his supporters, just shows his unwillingness to be brought under scrutiny of the investigating authorities.
