One of the world's most painful medical conditions is known as "suicide headaches"
The more technical term is Cluster Headache. It's a neurological disease that involves an immense degree of pain to the head. It's said that the pain is so strong, that it makes people want to kill themselves when they suffer them. It affects approximately 0.1% of the population, with more men suffering it than women.
There is no known cause for cluster headaches. They attacks can last from 15 minutes up to 3 hours. They're different from migraines not just in the intensity, but also in the lead up. People with migranes can feel them coming, cluster headaches are usually rapid and mostly with no signs.
The pain is said to be mostly around the eye area and some scientists suggest it's the most painful condition known to medical science. Female sufferers say it's worse than child birth. It's so strong that even morphine is not enough to quell the pain in some cases!
