The Choice

A new leaf turns and life goes on,
in the midst of I fork stand alone.
A wealth of options at my feet,
a step around or a greater leap?

Where two roads meet, a deep manhole;
my motivation sinks below.
And this is where I reminisce,
a red kite soaring vividly.

***

The Wizard enters in the scene,
leaving you with two varied bliss:
whether you choose a or b,
the choice is yours as you proceed.

{a}

A peripheral vision is what I see,
yellow brick roads all around me.
Embroidered with shimmering splendid trees;
return to Oz, where the magic is.

{b}

I look ahead, and a concrete road;
full of potholes and full of warp zones.
But further on and further on,
hidden ahead the witches and ogres,
at the end of the road is where a treasure lurks.

***

On your quest, I hope you pray;
for warriors and fairies to guide your way.
For in this life, we have a choice,
to decide or not, it's still a choice.
Calm your heart and ignore the noise--

You just have to listen to that Inner Voice.
