The girl and Mio* met again their date was at Market! MArket!...

they watched the last full show of nicholas cage's lord of wars and ate at mcdonald's

they were just like buddies... they talked and kid around during meal...

it was late already when they decided to head for the girl's car... in the car, they were still laughing over the joke that the girl cracked.

when the girl started up the engine, Mio leaned over to her. the girl was surprised specially when Mio* stretched his arm making an impression that he is going to embrace her.

"Your seatbelt." he said fastening the girl's safety belt.

"oh," she said relieved. "Thanks" and she flashed a nervous smile. "Sa'n tayo?"

"Gusto ma bang mag-19 east?"

"Nah... i don't feel like going to some bar tonight..."

"me neither."

"Let's just drive aroud a bit while we think." she said. Mio agreed.

after driving around The Fort and C5 area they decided to park at a gas station across Mckinley hill.

he bought two red horse cans and she bought a bottle of mudslide vodka. they chatted the night away inside the girl's car...

more jokes were told until they ran out of funny things to say, and then suddenly there was silence.

"what are you afraid of?" Mio* asked out of the blue...

"Rats, and ipis! specially if they're flying!" she said giggling... but Mio* was silent, he was not laughing, he's looking straight at the dimly lit road in front of them.

"you know that's not what i mean... " he said in a low voice.

more silence.

after a while the girl decided to throw back the question.

"bout you, what are you afraid of?"

it took a while before Mio* was able to answer "I'm afraid this night might end too soon..." he said... "Would you look at me?"

the girl took a deep breath and turned to Mio*, he rephrased his question, this time he held her hand... "pwede mo bang sabihin kung bakit ka natatakot?"

she lowered her eyes... her lips were a bit quivering... when she regained composure she said, "I'm afraid to fall for you Mio* baka hindi mo'ko masalo... you know... baka masaktan lang tayo pareho..."
