Yes. Typhoon Ondoy was catastrophic. Very catastrophic.

It left hundreds killed, thousands homeless, hundreds and thousands affected, if not millions yet.

But why blame it only on Ondoy?

Why blame only the government for being corrupt and other usual accusations and criticisms you make every time this kind of disasters happen?

Why blame the organizations and others who try to help, because they are not "acting fast and distributing goods unfairly" that seems to you as if they don't care for you?

You are fuming because of hunger,thirst,and other painful feelings you can feel.

But have you blamed yourselves?

Can't you remember?

You also helped increased this wrecking effect Ondoy has done.

Have you remembered when you littered anywhere?
Cut the trees from the mountains which you knew was illegal?
Built houses near rivers, not contented, made the river dirty by your wastes?
Have you remembered other deeds that has damaged nature, even if little by little, yet you do it almost everyday?

I see desperation in the victims' eyes.
But I don't see much a possibility of change.
Change in living more responsible for Mother Nature.

When is the time for change?

*personal view: nakakainis kasi makita sa tv yung mga nag-aagawan ng relief goods, sinisisi yung barangay captain na hindi namimigay ng relief goods dahil wala daw sila ticket, sinisisi yung mga drainage system, etc. pero kunsabagay, ilang araw kang gutom at uhaw. pano ka nga naman hindi magagalit? Oo na lang.

Tara na't magdonate. Kahit ano. Kung anong kaya mo.
