50-50 Chance of Automated Elections
We were very ecstatic when the news about automated elections spread. After all, we have been contented with manual election ever since.
Unfortunately, the local partner of the company who won the bid for the 2010 automated election backed out yesterday, alleging irreconcilable differences with its foreign-based partner. Good thing the COMELEC called them up immediately and asked them to discuss the matter. Otherwise, appropriate actions will be taken. I just hope they will have enough time to settle their money matter concerns. As Chairman Melo said, they cannot just bid then turn their back thereafter. Maaring me kumausap sa TIM para umatras na as partner ng SMARTMATIC para mas madali ng i maniobra ng malacanang ang election. Crony ni GMA ang smartmatic according to some people.
they should've do a background check on those bidders before proceeding with the bidding.
 rig ba yun bidding? o kulang sa porsyentuhan?  laking pera nyan

Nagkagoyoan daw yung mga parties behind the automation of election. Naging demamding daw yung isang party (PIM ata panagalan nun) at nagrequest bigla ng 500M. At dahil dun parang pinull-out ng smartmatics yung share nila. Well, yun yung alam ko ha.

nag-back out yung TIM, yung local company na partner sana ng Smartmatic. Tsk...oh well.
Napaka transparent naman ng bidding, araw araw nga sa news yun eh. Eh di kung mayroong irregularity, nakita na agad ng against sa automated polls.
Pero seryoso naman ang COMELEC sa pagsasabi na kapag natuloy ang pag atras, magkakaroon ng liability ang mga kumpanyang ito. Pero sana hindi na umabot sa ganun at magkaayos na para matuloy ang automated election.
Basta, ayaw na ng mga Pinoy sa manu-manong eleksyon. Para naman din makausad tayo dapat ay matuloy na itong automated elections next year. Itong nangyaring pagback out ng TIM ay nakakabigla at nagdulot ito ng pangamba na nakabitin ang automated elections natin. May deadline na binigay ang Comelec pero ewan lang natin kung may mapagkasunduan.
Napag-alaman na malapit sa oposisyon ang mga may-ari ng TIM. Sino nga kaya ang sumasabotahe dahil mistulang sabotahe ito. Baka naman may ayaw ng automation dahil ito ang legacy ni GMA.
