Introduction

FAIRYTALE WEDDING.

I guess that is every woman's dream... And what many men probably don't know is that every woman has already planned her wedding, down to the tiniest detail, even as little girls.

I, for one, had planned it the moment Jason (that's my kindergarten seat mate) painfully pulled my braids loose. That day he made me cry I knew he likes me. Hahaha.

Hence, every afternoon I would spend countless hours locked in my mom's room trying on her stilettos walking around the room wrapped in bedsheets (yeah, that was my wedding gown) with my mom's scarf on my head as my veil.

I would practice smiling gracefully and shyly in front of the mirror and with some giddiness I'd close my eyes and form a kissy pout.

Yes boys. For those of you planning to get married, don't blame your bride-to-be if she suddenly snaps and turns into bridezilla all of a sudden. That's just us making sure that the beginning of our fairytale with you - the ceremony - will be perfect. Just like what we've always dreamed of.

You might think that a woman so concerned about the trivialities of a small ceremony is a shallow person, but no. In fact, we care about the simple things and it's those things that we treasure more than everything else.

Like dancing in the rain. Our first love's first kiss... The breathtaking sunset... Like they say, the best things in life are free...

I heaved a sigh as I turn to watch Henry. He was sleeping soundly - by soundly I mean snoring. Hahaha. It used to irritate me but now it feels bland if I don't hear his loud snoring. Surprisingly, that snoring of his endeared him to me more.

He's 34, over the course of our three-year relationship, he gained some weight round the middle and he even gets rounder every month. He's developed another chin... Sure his age is beginning to show but for me he's still as good-looking as ever and looking at him now, without his game face on, I feel my heart just aches for him.

God! I love him.

I inched my body towards him and and felt his arm automatically locked me in an embrace. I nestled my head at the hollow of his shoulder... And it felt so good. This is what home feels like.

"The best things in life are free..."

Well except for Henry.

I planted a loving kiss at the base of his ear and closed my eyes to get some nap before we check-out.

love quotes and poems
Love withers with predictability; its very essence is surprise and amazement. To make love a prisoner of the mundane is to take its passion and lose it forever.
