last night, i arrived here in bangkok!



aaah! finally, am a city boy...big buildings, nice hotel room, skytrain for transport..what more can you ask for?



i woke up feeling refreshed this morning so i decided to go for a walk...and try thai foods that i miss much..i love their sidewalk food.



so that's it! i went walking and walking and walking, enjoying the sights of big building nice cars, concreted sidewalk. My eyes wide open like a small who suddenly found in front of him tons and tons of toys.



then, i saw a side walk stall sealing my favorite..grilled chicken and somtam. i used the "turo-turo (point here, point there) style to take my order. When my order was ready, the vendor said "no lies?". Both ends of my eyebrows met at the insinuation taht i am lying. Then, he repeated it again, "No lies?" This time my eyes brows looked like inverted crescent moon shape. How can he be rude to customers accusing them that they are liers. I was about to blurt out an equally rude comment when the other person at the next stall came to the rescue and said, "Mr!, he asked NO RICE." Oh my goodness! i forgot I am in bangkok, the world of "lost in translation".
