few minutes ago i got a text from a certain cecile telling me that she got hold of my resume & asking me if i am interested to work as a volunteer.

i replied YES & gave her my landline # so we can talk about the work she has for me. im very excited to start, really.

REWIND . . .

...last month atty lacson had a talk in our office about the 12 little things i can do to my country. ill write about it some other time. during the talk he mentioned about Worldvision, an international Christian development organization committed to uplift the lives of less fortunate people and communities in more than 90 countries worldwide. World Vision partners with the local people's organizations and other concerned agencies to implement projects that focus especially on the needs of children.

after the talk, i checked worldvision's website & i left a message on their message board. few days after, i got an email asking for my resume & now i am already accepted as a volunteer.

what made me decide to do volunteer works? initially, i want to make my free time productive. i had enough of malling every saturday & sunday. i had enough of just wasting time (my precious time) at home sleeping or doing nothing. but at the back of my mind, i wanted to do this because i know in my own little way i can help those less fortunate whose needs are so basic than mine. i want to extend my time that will be more appreciated by those who really need it. i want to make my life more meaningful by giving meaning to those who appreciates the time & effort that i am offering to them.
